| Creatine is excellent, i like to use it twice a day with 3 protein shakes during the day, i aim to take 2 to 2.5 grams of protein per kg of body weight per day over 6 meals. I mix the creatine with my morning shake and once again with a post workout shake. It has helped me gain size and strength. Also the timing of supplements is crucial, you have a window of 1 hour after a hard training session to re fuel the body and give the muscles what they need, to this end my post workout shake contains protein, creatine, glutamine and a high gi carbohydrate such as glucose or fructose, this is to cause a spike in the body's insuline production witch causes the muscles to absorb all of the carbs energy and protein, therefore helping the muscles recover quicker. | |

| Maximuscle cyclone, has creatine and protein in it and a few other things. Bit expensive but I feel the difference when using it. When I dont use cyclone I just use Protein.
Have also used Nano Vapour as a pre workout drink, the only problem was that it tasted like crap and i had to stop taking it, waste of £40. | |

| Paul, how do you rate glutamine? I've tried taking it a few times but it doesn't seem to have any effect on how sore I am after training, or are there other benefits I'm missing? | |

| Very fair points Alex, but supplements promote MAXIMUM muscle growth and although clean eating may give you a lot of nutrition, there is only a limited amount of nutriants that food while provide. When training your body beyond what is normal then your body requires nutrition beyond what is normal. (suppliments) |
