In the past i have always been bad at pull ups and if i trained just straight positive pullups i never really saw much improvement or if i did it was really slow and didn't seem to hit the parts of my lats i was after, but for the last 3 weeks i have been doing negative hammer pullups 5x5 once a week where i will hold for as long as i can at the top and when i start to fail i resist the downwards motion as slowly as i can and the results have been great. After the first time doing them i could feel i had worked the lat from top to bottom which i never got from any upper back workout. So this morning i had a quick go on normal pullups and had doubled my previous best amount of reps in a set and this is just 2 days after practice at Swindon! This is definitly gonna be my main non table training for my upper back and biceps. I wondered if anyone else had had similair good results from negative pullups?
