| excellent news 5 weeks notice and its over 200 miles away , do no wrestlers live in the south of england? surley it would make more sense to hold it in the midlands like it always used to be. | |

| Hi Lee
The British as been in the south for the past four years or more
It was supposed to be alternate but things don't go to plan
I agree it should be in the midlands
Wish tom good luck for me
He's a gem | |

| If you take into account the guys coming from Scotland then Garstang is pretty central for everyone to get to.
Perhaps a system where it moves around to different cities each year to build more awareness for non armwrestlers could work, (London, Manchester, Birmingham, Glasgow etc.) | |

| That would be good Dan if it happened, plenty of good venues up here but Manchester / Preston is not a bad journey for us. Its probably worse and longer for you London guys. | |

| Well said Dan i back you 100%, i don't mind travelling to the central belt but we definitely need to create more awareness in Scotland. |

| I think ,everyone would agree, that you can't compare holding event like British Nationals in hotel to huge Shopping centre with thousands viewers, big stage and good inspiring music. And armwrestlers feel importance of this event in that surrounding. Plus it's not a shame to invite someone like Brzenk and Larat for super match again ))) | |

| I have spoke to neil about it, he wanted lakeside just as much as we did, they are having refebishments and kept messing him around with dates so to make sure we actually HAD a national he quit and went with crofters, of course he wanted it there he knows how much attention it brings but he put his team first | |

| I'd like to see something similar to the darts, a big venue and stage where people can get tables as groups and families, have food and drinks and those little bits of card to write messages on. The competitors can walk in through the crowd to their own entry music when they make the semi and final matches. Also how about including a team trophy at the British to encourage clubs to bring more pullers, everyone in their own team kit, with points awarded to each puller for each win and the team with the most points wins the trophy. Get a major national paper like the Sun or Star involved and promote it for every week for 2 months leading up to the comp so the general public will know it's happening (the sport won't grow if the only people that know about it are already in the sport.) Charge them to come and see it, perhaps a tenner each, good value for a day out. Just a couple of thoughts, what do you reckon? | |

| Its good that its in the north again after all those sauna car rides (ask bandit and elf ha) to the lakeside but i am a fan of it being in the midlands almost central for everybody.its a shame il miss this year due to my man flu i sufferd but hey crap happens... Dan some good ideas there pal but rossendale would win the team cup every year especially now iam wrestling for them,i signed a contract with nick 50p a week and a loaf of bacups finest bread called aaarggh lol | |

| True, it's better to move the venue to create awareness. On that point, since Scotlands becoming more involved. Can anyone tell me if Wales is involved. British championships should mean just that after all. |
