We had armwrestling practice at the end of Saturday's Britain's Strongest Hands contest. Many thanks to Anthony and Ricky, who also competed in the grip comp too.

Anyway, we are going to offer spots for 8 armwrestling supermatches at the next contest, the 21st British Grip Championships (details on the grip comp below).
We have some good grip guys who have never had a go at armwrestling, but a few tried the training on Saturday, and again thanks to Anthony.
They would like to watch these matches, and I think it would also give you armwrestlers a chance to have a go in the grip comp too. Entrance fee allows you to do both if you wish, and also wonderful homemade food is always laid on at the interval (Saturday's food was venison). I think you guys will love the day, but obviously I am biased - haha

We have specially designed medals for the grip comps, and these will be allocated to the winners of the matches.

Paul Maiden, Anthony and Ricky are helping so far. Any other help always appreciated, as promoting armwrestling is a touch different for us.
I am thinking of about 8 matches, so please put your interest here. Also after the contest, the guys usually do a lot of playing around with the grip stuff, and I'm sure you guys will learn a lot.

Just trying to do our little bit.
I've travelled to so many A/W comps over the last 14 years that I thought we'd put something on. The A/W practice seemed to go down well at our recent grip event.
It should be enlightening for all.

I have put an 8 match limit because I also have the grip comp too. The gym is also at my home, and outside (although we have a very large marquee if need be). The comps are professional and fun. Like the old York weightlifting events of the 40/50s.
Anyway, we look forward to seeing the competitors have a great day.
