Hi Stephen, hope you are well.

Re your point about WAF and EAF, you are right, every country has a vote and at least 1 representitive, sometimes 2. But that is at congress meetings only.
And voting is done on directorate positions, major rule or format changes, rather than the day to day running of the federations, that responsibility falls only with the directorate.

This is the EAF Directorate as pulled from the EAF website

Assen Hadjitodorov (Bulgaria) - President
Igor Mazurenko (Poland) - Vice president
Alexander Filimonov (Russia) - Vice President
Atilla Csabai (Hungary) - Vice President
Marian Capla (Slovakia) - Vice President
Harri Naskali (Finland) - Head Referee
Mircea Simionescu-Simicel (Romania) - General Secretary
Andre Frederic (Belgium) - Doping Committe
Peter Veres (Slovakia) - Director of Scoring
Marcin Mielniczuk (Poland) - Technical Director

the WAF has a much smaller structure

Assen Hadjitodorov (Bulgaria) WAF President
Mircea Simionescu-Simicel (Romania) WAF General Secretary
Leonard Harkles (USA) Head Refere

As you can see, there are no representitives from any national federation on the directorates of either federation.

So are you suggesting we have 1 representative per club but only for a congressional meetings to vote for the committee and major changes and then the rest of the time the elected committee decide on the direction? I like the sound of that personally.

I think the majority of people would go for this option but it wasn't clear to me that this was what was being proposed..

Well.... lol

Ive only skim read so forgive me if ive missed something (or loads) but it seems like a few problems are obvious

People are getting emotional.. Not productive at all!!
There seems to be no clear points to be addressed, just views and a couple of things kinda hanging in the air. Be specific!

If you ask me Wink ....

Look at the most successful sports and examine what model they use (Mat would be a good guy to talk to unless you know someone better regarding business models/structures)

How can that model be applied

Dan, have you sat down with Neil and asked if this is doable and he actually wants the change?

Communication is key!! By using this forum you are doing yourself and everyone else a MASSIVE disservice! 80% of communication is non-verbal, and text compounds the problem. Phone or skype at a minimum, face to face ideally.

Outline points and stick to them! One at a time!

If anyone starts becoming emotional, stop the meeting at once! Tea break and calm down (cant stress this enough)

Involve as many people as you can, the more people are involved the more they want to see it work! (Tried and tested fact)

Oh, and leave nothing to assumption, again be specific, ask the stupid question (their are no stupid questions!)
