| Dan isn't a committee a group of individuals aswel as those mentioned? And I thought we was having a discussion at British novice? Isn't that the best place to ballet? | |

| Very true Paul, Ok so aswell as the 4 positions posted there will be 5 other committee positions to fill.
So in total there will be a 9 person committee. Preferably there needs to be representitives from different clubs or regions from around the country.
Get in touch via PM to put yourself forward for a position on the committee.

| Hey Paul. I've thought about it a lot and given a lot of factors it wouldn't be right for me personally to stand, despite how good an idea anyone else thinks it might be.
Seeing as we have really similar ideas, I don't see why you don't stand given you are on much better terms with Neil, support him as chair and are much more active in armwrestling than me, plus you're able to take the time to travel internationally. I'm sure a lot of people would back you.
I'll say it again that I think each club should get a spot on the committee rather than Dan deciding on 5, which seems an arbitrary number.

| Hey Leon Be the main man is something I like being on the table I am happy to sit on the committtee and have my say but I think there are more intelligent and better people for that roll than me pal.
I dont think Dan has made the ruling on the 5 but something has to be decided I suggest a pole get run till wed to see if 1 member per club or 5 random members be used
I just want whats best for the Baf and country has a whole but 1 thing is for sure if we constantly bicker nothing will ever get sorted and we will end up more divided than now

| Ok im not getting details but from seeing how well germany works here ny ideas
Team president - Paul Maiden ( due to the passion, knowledge and very big mouth haha i think he would be perfect i also think neil is great! But needs a break as hes been doing it alone a ling time! Armwars in my opinion is THEE biggest thing happening to armwrestling right now and he can make it huge for us and i want neil to put all his time in that!
Vice president - dan thomas Your from the south giving a equal balance also big mouth speaks his mind but and is incredibly passionate! You have proved yourself to me hugly from these threads not that you needed to!
Treasurer and secutary i dont know haha securary should be a woman as were better at taking notes and attending meetings no offense but not myself im not someone for these roles
Team coach - neil pickup, without doubt theres noone on our team who knows more been to more bug championships and is ALWAYS there to help, support and be by your side when half dead in a sauna! He is a great man friend and armwrestler and a team coach is a perfect position IMO
Head refferre - kieth, richard poole ...
North leader - a man to rep the north of the country
south leader - same as Would be a good board Thanks Joanne

| My experience is that we, as humans, complicate things to create an impression of things working...The harder it is to understand a system the more likely it is to appear to work.
That being said...Why complicate this?
Just go with the most simple and fair system that everyone can understand. That way:
1. It should work, and 2. If it doesn't we will ALL know that it isn't working and fix it!
Simplicity is the key.
I like the board that Jo named! In terms of a committee. What is the simplest way to represent all of the armwrestling community?
Democracy is great and I love its principles - but the British model is not the only model of how to represent the people. Food for thought...
