ARMWRESTLING AT OLYMPICS ???

I read about arm wrestling becoming an olympic sport few months ago, but there wasnt enough votes.
Did you heared something about it ? And could it be possible that it become olympic till' 2016 ??

Yes, this is something that most, if not all armwrestlers would want to see. However; I think there's some way to go before WAF is fully aligned with the IOC.

Don't get me wrong - I would love to see AW as an Olympic sport, but I feel that there are some big issues to address.

too long to set (long setting, breaking, referee setting) + a short fight = little spectacular for normal people.
in its present form no chance

I disagree super matches would be ideal in the Olympics I have brought mates too watch super matches who have no understanding of armwrestling or the rules and they loved it

It would be so great, just if people like arm wrestling more.
Just imagine arm wrestling interesting to people like boxing, or tennis....
I hope, one day.

And as far as those guys who thinks arm wrestling is not a real sport, I think its a sport as much is box, or CHESS...It has its elements, training and tournaments.
