| big enough I think Deans forearm (which seemed to be made out of solid iron last time we trained) is probably more worrying! | |

| A point of interest Dean. These days you were swapping carbs and protein, were you still training as hard? |

| well, the point is i went there training 2 weeks ago and was on fire.... (not on diet) and this week i get my arse kicked all over the shop. ( its hard to judge cos i know Rods and the team are training like madmen) i recon ill eat normal for a week or 2 and try again after that !! such a big change for just 2 weeks though.. | |

| It's always worth while trying a few different diets, but changing your diets also means changing your training routine. You may have just starved your muscles. Sounds like you've been running on your reserves. |

| Rod sounds like he's making quick progress. What caused him to lose form and how long before he's back to his former glory?

| Glad to hear it m8, i'm relatively new to arm wrestling but i know how much a serious injury or illness can effect the mind and heart of a true sportsman. |

We'll have to pull soon then as I'm not dieting right now Going on any kind of calorie restricted diet always takes between 5 and 25% off my strength. I find when I'm in a carb depleted state my endurance dissapears and I sweat like crazy when training. | |

| I know that the cause is usually before the effect but were diets are concerned, make sure you know the effect before you implement the cause. |
