Err, not sure what his definition of a curl is but i'm pretty sure it differs from mine and Marks, moving a heavy weight 2 inches from vertical to vertical isn't as impressive as if he'd gone horizontal to vertical!

All the weight is going down through his elbow, utterly pointless imo. He'd be better letting his arm open to the almost pinned position then curling back with 1/3 of this weight.

If figures and statistics are going to be posted then at some point you must have the full weight in the targeted area. I would only class this a true bicep curl if the forearm was to drop parallel to the floor and then be recovered. So NO.
