comps for the boys

Hi folks Nick and myself will test the water by running pro/novice events next year,they will be under the RAMPAGE umbrella supermatches and main draw will be features of the events, any ideas of how you would like them to run,i,e rules,format,weights,trophys,money will be much appreciated

all comments are welcome pro and novice alike to enable us to put on the best possible shows

Yes Paul, sounds like a cool idea to me.
Maybe you could have the weight classes as -65, -75, -85, -95 and +95 kg.
Also for third, second and first place you could have trophies aswell as a £10.00 cash prize for first place on either arm, that way if it was a £20.00 entry fee, competitors would get the chance to win there money back and also have the privilege of a minted looking trophy on there mantle piece. I know £10.00 doesn't sound much but it's realistic because i don't think you and Nick would want to loose money through doing it (i know i wouldn't).
Finally to get new people involved you could have the event at a crowded pub with an ideal inside layout .

hey paul maybe you could do 1 comp with weight classes in june or sumwhere around and have it as a staple comp like nyc,preston ,british ,granite arm,etc and maybe do another comp purly supermaches later on in the year like nov or sumthing

I agree with Peter's format.
A cash prize to winners of each respective weight class.
I've got to say, ' i like the idea of a super match tournament'.
Obviously the main concern/concerns would be location and when
on the calendar the events should take place.

I'd like to see a main draw event with a best of 3, single elimination. Then best of 5 for semi finals, 3rd place play off and final with no previous pins counting so you start from zero pins at each round.
Less weight classes so 10kg increments from 65kg meaning more pullers per class.

Small cash prizes for 3rd, 2nd and first place possibly with a trophy or medal for each place. Funds allowing of course.
