Neil Pickup from the British Armwrestling Federation revealed some very interesting information the other day and I just had to ask him about it! As Neil himself would say... Heeeeeeeere we goooo!!!

Neil, during the last few days you have announced some exceptionally good news about upcoming armwrestling shows on Eurosport, and honestly the news are so good that I can't really understand it's happening! If anything can push this sport over the edge and take it to the next level it would be something like this! Armwrestling movies from the 80's with all due respect, but I've never heard of a better opportunity to present our sport's real qualities to the wide masses in a better way than this! Please tell us what this is all about!

Eurosport are Europe's premier free sports channel and provide excellent coverage of both mainstream and more diverse sports to over 50 Countries across their two broadcast territories, the show is titled "INTERNATIONAL ARMWRESTLING" and will be a weekly 26 minute feature presenting top class Armwrestling action from around the World predominantly produced by the leading Armwrestling promotions in the world right now "ARM WARS" SUPER SERIES and our sister company the Professional Armwrestling League.

Push the sport forward!! Provide excellent coverage!!!!!!!!!!!! When's this gonna happen???? Someone tell me again, the reason arm wrestling can't get into the olympics. Can anyone tell me why the british government has no involvement in the sport? ........Has the government been approached?

From what I can gather on the Northeast board every time this comes up, I think it's because to get Olympic recognition the governing body of the sport (which for arm wrestling there doesn't seem to really be one) has to stump up millions of dollars and jump through crazy hoops to even get considered.

Hmmmmmmmm, strange. :scratch:So who organises the events for the W.A.F.? Who determines the world rankings and who determines where the world championships take place? These things are normally done by the governing body.
