I am pleased to say that Paul is much improved. He has had his tracheostomy removed and is no longer requiring ventilation. Having the trachy removed means he is now able to talk!! He is eating, drinking and telling his usual 'bad' jokes.
Needless to say his family are all very relieved!! It will take some time for Paul to fully recover but he is on the right path to getting back.

Although still bed ridden in hospital and being about 82kgs and struggling to lift my arms above my head - I would like to thank you all very, very, very much for your support and prayers.

paul maiden has just rung me from the hosptial...it was good to hear his voice...he just wants to say thanks for everyones support....
