| As many of us know this has been a bad year for comps as little has happened since Judgement day,and a lot of what happened last year has not happened this year. For example the milton keynes comp has not happened this year nor has the Preston panthers comp either.Have the Milton keynes club and the Preston panthers lost interest in in our sport and cannot be bothered to promote anything anymore? Nearer home we were promised a comp in cambridge that was to have happened in july, but nothing has become of this. That great organisation Armageddan has done nothing since judgement day and is keeping quiet. Training days have not fared much better.Apart from ours in April little has happened as the Slough club promised a training day that was called off because of ArmWars ( what is happening regarding this?) On a more positive note i am looking foward to the Brits in the Lions Den in August which will be my greatest challenges so far.Regarding Training days i will be having one in St Albans again on September 29th to celebrate my first year in Armwrestling! I am not having a moan or blaming anyone for the lack of comps this year, but i feel my progress and development in the sport is being hindered by this shortfall and that of other up and coming pullers in their first year feel much the same as i do. Having won my first match at judgement day i feel i am not realising my full potential as had this been last year i would have really made waves and won matches at Milton keynes and the preston panthers comp also. I hope the situation will improve soon so i can realise my full potential. | |

| Andrew I don't think your ready to enter pro comps yet pal, you need to enter as many novice comps as you can and gain experience, the level will be too high for you at this point, keep up the training . | |

well its been nearly a year m8, alot better but never been as strong and still painful, but just one of those things, not pulling on it again until it heals so i agree with u defo no rush, it was inexperience that did it not knowing how to protect my hand, i should have done what u did and waited but hindsight is a wonderful thing. | |

| Andrew, be very careful trying to run before you can walk, at novice level there is a measure of protection put in place to help keep new guys safe on the table, all of us here respect your desire to improve and pull the best guys, however if you enter a pro level match you are effectively giving permission to your opponent to hit you harder (not that they would as we all know what your level of strength and ability is) than you've experienced in any novice comp or training session and you could end up injured. Stick with the novice comps for as long as you can, learning alongside guys that are at your level or just a little higher, you will learn way more from close matches than you ever could by losing in half a second flat against a pro. By all means go to every comp and use the practice table to learn against a much larger range of pullers and styles. | |
