help to promote aw

can we all help one another to promote aw & our clubs by all giving ideas eg would an arm wrestling comp in your local pub or social club work or taking a table down your local youth club to incourage the teenagers in to aw

hi andy i have done a few comps and club training nites with the young farmer clubs through out the northwest plus found a few wrestlers along the way
did a few county rally comps which are still being done today also stan dickenson has done a few

chris ham is one plus peter holden british novice champion cant remember the year

andrew holden ,tom waddington,jack heap,chris barker all theses lads have pulled a few pro comps,

Hi! as many have seen i did one at The Orchard In Ruislip! and it went down well! Even though i used Homemade equipment it was better than nothing at all,as you cannot do it properly without a proper AW table, as how many pub AW contests have been done on normal tables ? What are the rules for this kind of AW competetion as many of those partaking will be non qualified and ungraded,but i assume that informal AW competetions at this level are exempt from the qualification and grading Rules,as we need this kind of competetion at grass roots level to promote AW,and make it acessible to a wider section of the community.

Hi! I would be an interesting exercise to place an AW Table in a public location and watch discretely how people respond to it,as i bet over 75% of people would have absolutely NO IDEA what it was? as many people are aware of AW, But have never seen an AW table before unaware such things exist! The results of this experiment would be very different in countries like Poland and the USA (where AW is well known.) I think this would raise a few eyebrows in the UK and it would be an interesting social behavior experiment to video the people wondering what the " Mystery Object" in front of them was! Has anyone tried This so far? I think it is worth the effort!

It would not be quite like that as there should be those that know what they are doing watching discretely ready to point any that have no idea in the right direction! And at the same time explain what AW is all about!
