Fair points, but yes, in terms of a ranking system there will be pullers that dominate their class. The rest of us will be fighting for our places in the marching order if it so happens that Neil is king of the 100's then so be it, you, Nick, Stan, myself and everyone else will all be aiming for as high a place as possible. We then have a ranking for best open weight puller, so the guys who are dominating their respective classes have an element of competition. Anyone who thinks they are improving can challenge the puller that is placed higher than they are under strict weight conditions, ie no more than 1kg difference in weight. With both pullers having to weigh in on the same scale at the same time, and competing in a best of 6 format. A win moves you above that opponent, a draw means you stay the same and you can only challenge for the place above you, so you can measure your progression through the guys you beat. Obviously ths open weight class has no restrictions on weight and a win in that has no bearing on your position in your own weight devision.. Kind of like the Premier league and Champions league. The novice guys have their own division and the top 2 at the end of the year get promoted to the pro's. No main draw comps count towards ranking places, but a supermatch can be arranged at any event like Steve and Stuart did recently. It gives everyone a solid idea of where they stand in terms of level and can also be used as a seeding system for the nationals which would be like the FA cup to use another football analogy.

Sounds good about setting up some sort of table for monitoring supermatches

i.e. whos pulled who and when also wins and losses of each and how close the matches was etc.

But as for the 1kg weight difference I personally cannot see why being so strict with weight would matter if matches or done on ability.

So long as you are paired of with someone who everyone agrees would be a good match.

Gladiators fought in the arena thousands of years ago in Rome, all the spectators wanted to see was a good match.
Ones that got spectators more interested,

Mayweather v pacman

Pickup v Maiden

Thomas v Mitchell ?

its not all about weight differences all the time its about best of 5/6 against an opponent around your own level regardless of weight !!

I'm not saying you should pull in your weight class only. But if you want to establish who the best puller is at a certain weight then you have weight classes or divisions matches set according to ability are excellent to watch and produce some belting pulls. The point is trying to find the best at a certain weight not ability level.

AS Nicks put on forum about weighing in at supermatches ok sounds good, I was also wondering if...

To get more interest coming into the sport from outside, putting a small clip/video of each opponent for each supermatch in training.
what weight there doing and what exercises.

What I mean some people who are a bit ignorant to the sport look on forum or you tube and see two people armwrestling and might not think much of it. But when they see what goes into the training then they will be able to put some perspective and broaden the publics interest.
