1. how did you get into the sport what year was it
I started armwrestling in 2001 with Stephen Kirlew. Stephen had been armwrestling for a few years and it had become the sport of choice for us younger guys at church. For the two years Stephen was doing missionary work some of us thought we could get good enough to beat him when he got home. I would spend many Sundays in a side room at church armwrestling Stephens dad. By the time Stephen got home I was pretty good. We trained for 3 weeks and then I went and won the British junior championships at Seni (when it was at the NEC).

Stephen and Peter Kirlew.
3. whats your biggest achievement in the sport
I came second in the under 70s at the world junior championships in Durban, South Africa in 2004.

Back at MKAF.
5. you best training advice for new guys
If there is a practice table at a competition use it. After you have done the competition stuff get on the practice table and dont get off unless you are ripped away from it. Learn your best technique by pulling lots of people for a LONG time. Then hit the gym hard! Technique, Strength, Stamina, Speed.
