ARM WARS

“ARM WARS” was created and founded by former two time European and World Middleweight Champion “SuperNatural” Neil Pickup.
The first “ARM WARS” event took place at the magnificent Trafford Centre in Manchester in 1998 the venue has since hosted 11 annual “ARM WARS” events & today it can truly be described as “The Home of British Armwrestling”.
The ARM WARS INTERNATIONAL SUPER SERIES has evolved from this annual MEGA event and a over the last eight years it has now firmly established itself as the premier Professional format Armwrestling circuit in the World today.

The Rules of Armwrestling
- 2 competitors, 1 table, 6 bouts, 1 winner.
- If there is a draw at the end of the 6 bouts then a sudden death bout occurs.
- Bouts are either right-handed or left-handed, depending on the individual’s speciality.
- The winner is the one who forces their opponents hand down onto their touch pad.
- With the average match lasting up to 30 mins this really is the most intense combat sport on the planet

“ARM WARS” events take place throughout the World and attract the very best exponents of Armwrestling on earth, competing separately in 7 male and 3 female weight categories :

TECHNIQUES
TOP ROLLING :- is a specific style of Armwrestling technique which is based around attempting to target the fingers and wrist of your opponent and by applying backpressure into their hand, lever their fingers open causing their wrist to be broken back and hence almost neutralizing the power which they are able to apply during the match.
Top Rolling is also called Outside Armwrestling because the technique employs the muscles on the outside of the forearm and also because this move allows the athlete to stay out of their opponents Hook.
