| Hello Adrian well i didnt touch any sort of weights for atleast 3-4 years al i did is armwrestle and learn the trade to the point were i could wresle all day and apply a counter move to every move,it took longer to build power at the highest level that way but now i have the power along with all the skills, also you need to be at a club were you can be around as many top pullers as you can to learn, you will go backwards before you go forwards as it takes alot of time to master the moves correctly but given time all will come together... | |

| Hi Nick at the the moment iam using pulleys with a mixture of free weight exercies,i only train my wrist 1 time per week at the moment directly using a scaffold type bar hanging over the knee doing full curls till i struggle then in the same set finish of with half reps 3 sets as many reps as possible without going over 40 reps...i also use other training dys such as back to train my wrist but not directly, meaning as i pull the weight to my i rather let the weight hang into my fingers and as i pull roll curl my wrist at the sme time or start the exercises with my wrist curled in... | |

| Hi Jo well i use a high carb low carb style diet i.e on my lifting days i take in a large amount of carbs oats, spuds, rice, pasta etc to recharge my glycosyn levels and on my cardio days take in a small amount as your body doesnt need as much fuel,i dont eat any carbs past 4pm anyday which is fortunate due to i do all my training 6-7am which enables me to get my 6-7 meals in,i also dont eat any food after 6pm apart from a casein protein shake before bed which is a slow release protein to feed my muscles and aid recovery threw the night...i finding drinking massive amounts of water with fresh lemons left in over night keeps my water levels normal as most people who dont drink enough retain water around 1-2 kilos of excess water,i always do cardio on a empty tummy am times as your only burning what you have and not what you have eaten.Always try and keep your protein levels high this keeps your muscle anti catabolic(dont eat themselves).. | |

| Hi Nick it used to be based around pullups(alot) and hammer statics done with a belt to work the roator at the same time, but since my injury i have only done about 8 sets of pullups...i now have a pulley machine setup perfectly to apply my stlye of toproll, mixed with 8 sets a week of full length curls 4 bicep,4 hammer curl done with a tricep rope,i also have a specilized back machine that simulates the seting up phase of the pull,i plan to start the belt statics once a week starting from this tue | |

| Paul,
How would you deal with someone with a larger forearm and wrist to you who would drag you towards themselves opening up your arm using their lats and then top rolling you. Is there a specific way that you would counter this? How would you train to grow stronger and stop this?

Hey Pal well the larger hands and forearms should really scare you so forget they exsisst i have the smallest heavyweight hand in the country but ask anybody who pulls it,its a bad boy i would say firstly you have to use there leverage against them,if there using there lat to drag you i suspect they are setting up at the front of the pad??? if so grab there hand a little lower than normal as it no good fighting a guy were there have a natural advantage anyway, make sure you get wrist to wrist with him so your hold of a full hand, then lock your arm and use your lat to open up his arm, this will take away some of his leverage and also give you a consealed load,on the hit i would pull downwards at his hand as your lat is stronger than anybodys hammer curl and also lowering the levers to suit you than i would make a move side ways to try and drive his hand away from his shoulder hope this helps paul
