| I would lick to now if the crofters is still the venue for the British 2011 The venue is ideal good size of room plenty of parking , rooms, meals and most important it is central now the Scottish lads are involved This year was one of the best I'av been to even though I didn't win Lets keep all discussions friendly | |

| I believe m8 that Neil has already put in a post verifying that is the case because of the positive turn out this year. Your right to say that the lads in Scotland can get more involved because of it's location, if it was any further south it would be very difficult to make the pro event and the novice event. |

| I think the Crofters is great, it's central to everyone except maybe Marvin. In all honesty though, with a years notice it doesn't really matter where it will be held, there's loads of time to save money or organise time off to attend. | |

| Im just back from the pub Paul, that was really funny, l could hear every English armwrestler cringe at the thought of driving up to Scotland for an armwresting match! ha!ha!ha! I live a good bit further than Mark and it cost me £80 to drive to the Crofters from my mud hut in the mountains, down and back but still a lot of money, when you know your going to get your arse pumped by the big boys. (Stan and Garry) But l had a great time and would not have missed it for the world. And as my good friend Jason caveman said. . . . . maybe next year l will slow you down a bit! You and me both Jason. . . . . . see you soon . . . . .Donald. | |

| hahaha like it m8, however Paul is right. With some proper planning this would be a great way to showtell in Scotland exactly what arm wrestling has to offer. We may be able to run small events here in comparison but without the support from the B.A.F that i've mentioned a few times now and the support of our brothers south of the border, Scotland will have a difficult time catching up.

| Thanks Stan for your comments, it's only because of the support i've received from yourself, Neil, Nick, Paul, Ted and many others (Angie included ) that i've progressed in such a short time. That support continues to make me train harder and show you guys with each visit that i'm listening and grateful. FREEDOM!!!! |

| Hi Guys,
I can confirm that at this point in time the intention is to hold the 2011 BAF British National Armwrestling Championships at The Crofters Hotel.
This was largely due to the overwhelmingly positive response to the venue that I have received following this years event.
The Crofters are a relatively small family owned establishment that have supported BAF and the Sport of Armwrestling therefore it is a way of us showing a degree of loyalty to them also.
The venue is currently around the correct size to accommodate the event, the facilities are of a good standard and the location is relatively central from a Geographical perspective.
My only concern with the Crofters is that is is a little out in the sticks and does not attract a large viewing audience however as I have said numerous times the British Nationals is about the Armwrestlers and is not structured to suit the general spectator.
The Professional events which are FAR more geared towards this end are currently extremely well positioned to service this requirement
Regards
Neil | |
