If you mean an AW strap, then you should definately train this on the table, depending on style, hand size etc.
I think you mean weightlifting wrist straps that are used by gym guys to add weight/reps to their pulling/rowing lifts. They take pressure off the hand/forearm, which seems pointless if not counter-productive for AW.
I'd personally rather wear a mankini down the gym, then use weightlifting straps
Train your hand and wrist in everyway possible would be my advice to any new AW.
