I probably lift more, I am late into arm wrestling and lifting and found my stregnth lacking a bit so I have been lifting more to see some gains. Also I find it hard to go on the table for a few hours a couple of times a week. The arms take a bit of a pounding and need some recovery when on the table and that coupled with weights every other day could mean overtraining.

i think more is gained from armwrestling, when on a table in which you would compete on, you would be more table smart i think a more experienced guy could be a stronger new commer ? like dad proved at europeans them guys were total beasts!! and just his experience helped him!

I think it's the same as ANY other sport on the planet. You have to practice your sport a lot, but all athletes train with weights now to make them a stronger athlete.

Ithink it depends on what level your at,if your able to find a sparring partner who is the same power or someone who is stronger id armwrestle, armwrestle, armwrestle unfortunatley for myself theres only about 3 people in the UK i can go on the offence with which live a good distance away,so most of my sparring is done in defence,so ive adapted ways of simulating my pulling stlye using weights etc which as abled me to use offence, and so made up most of my training
