World of Grip Strongest Hands Series 2010 - Leg 3

The grip contest to be run here is part of a bigger contest. As you can see another contest is being run that day down in Gloucester, including world class grip guys and strongmen. So you will be also part of this event, as all results are merged together.

But I will also run this event as a seperate entity for you guys to try, and will offer a prize to the winner (not including myself).

I will run through the rules before each event starts. The events are very easy for beginners, and have been chosen for this reason.

Is the grip comp going to be a medley people can try after their pulls? If so I'll do it. Better work on my pinch a bit then, as it's err.... crap....

Each event is done one at a time. The Pinch is done on a 'rising bar' system, ie. the weight gets heavier. Each competitor has 4 attempts, plus warm ups. I will explain all the rules on the day.

It's very straight forward.

The components of most worldwide grip/hand strength contests is: pinch, crush, supporting, wrist and endurance. Three of these areas are tested in this comp, and as I said earlier they are very easy events to do.

The three events will be spaced between the supermatches I think, and since the last two events are one handed, just use the arm you haven't armwrestled with yet.

I'll be pulling left on the day but I use my right hand for max gripper attempts, I'm glad it's a 20mm set as I have bloody small hands and short fingers!
