Andreas Rundstrom is arguably Sweden's most Internationally renowned Male Armwrestler (remembering that the similarly legendary Sharon Remez is actually an import from Isreal after he married a Swedish lass).
He began pulling in the late 80's and was easily recognizable as a man who had something special.
Andreas has a signature style which has been adopted by many of his nations Armwrestlers (what better tribute for a puller) he Armwrestlers very open totally reliant on his exceptionally strong joints and massive backpressure which when combined with his inherent speed make up a lethal combination.
This WAF World title in his home nation in 1994 was followed up by a Silver at the slightly heavier weight of -80kg in Sao Paulo Brazil in 1995 behind the exceptional Zoleiv Kazbek (The Crushing Russian)
Andreas has always been a force but 1996 was undoubtedly his finest year when for once his commitment to training matched his potential with outstanding results culminating in a Legendary victory at the 1996 Yukon Jack in Florida defeating some of the World finest -75kg pullers along the way including Dave Patton in the final.
Andreas is ALWAYS a threat and although he rarely ever trains he has an abundance of genetic talent and massive ability, he dominated only two weeks ago at the Nordic Championships winning the -85kg class with ease.
Two of the proudest moments in my career were wins against this man such is the magnitude of my respect for this man, he has one more win against me than I have against him.
He is a long time friend and a TREMENDOUS Armwrestler, one of the best of all time for sure.
